On September 20th, 2022, ffVC hosted its 2nd annual Drones & Robotics Summit.
As Head of Platform, I worked closely with an ffVC partner Oliver Mitchell (lead investor in the autonomous sector) to produce a conference with an international audience of tech founders, VC investors, academics, federal ministries, and thought leaders.
Roles and responsibilities:
Securing the venue and programming the day
Partnering with sponsors to fully finance the event
Developing a holistic visual style and work with a designer and illustrator to bring all printed and digital collateral to life.
Hiring a video production team and photographer to produce content
Leading outreach to speakers and panelists to confirm participation and design session topics
Curating the guest list and overseeing the event promotion

In July 2019, American Express came to ACL in Austin, TX to immerse festival fans in the brand and elevate their experience. As part of Live Nation’s in-house creative team, I worked on the concept and copywriting for the multiple facets of Amex’s footprint: the two-story main activation space near the Amex stage, Johnny’s VIP tent, and the side stage experience.
The concept was centered around “Headliner Life,” essentially a touring artist’s experience while stopping over in Austin. The ground floor of the main experience mimicked the city exploration and typical tour tropes like getting a tattoo by a local artist, getting bespoke clothes, and detoxing before the big performance. The upstairs area was designed as the elusive backstage area, where artists relax and get glammed up for the show.

As part of Uber’s ongoing partnership with Live Nation, we brought the brand to Voodoo, the iconic music festival on Halloween weekend in New Orleans. We designed a 2-story activation where fans could get their faces and hair styled in a futuristic fashion inspired by Uber’s transformative new messaging, “Doors are always opening.”
